PowerA (AlTiN) coating extends tool life by 40%, is black tone, and ensures the highest hardness, highest heat resistance and good lubricity.  This coating is best used with chrome, hard metals and tough ceramics.

PowerT (TiN) coating extends tool life by 20%, is gold tone, and offers the highest lubricity and less loading, as well as an improved coefficient of friction rating, so there is less sticking, resulting in a freer cut.  This coating is best used with acrylics.

Also available: PowerZ ( ZrN) coating, ideal for soft metals and other softer materials, is yellow-gold tone, and extremely slippery to prevent loading of soft materials. This coating is best used with aluminum, precious metals, and other soft materials.
