In October 1985, a small one-man tool-grinding operation became incorporated in Florida, as Mastercut Tool Corp., residing in a 600 square foot garage in Safety Harbor. By 1988, five employees crammed into the garage, and by the end of that year, growth necessitated a move to an 1100 sq. ft. rental unit. Mastercut soon occupied three rental units at this address, and in 1993, the company purchased the rental property in its entirety. To keep pace with demand, the company made most of its own grinding machines until 1994. Between 1994 and 1997, Mastercut Tool Corp. invested heavily in plant and equipment modernization. By 1998, facilities were once again filled to capacity. A 37,000 sq. ft. building was purchased in December of 1998 at 965 Harbor Lake Drive, in Safety Harbor, Florida and this facility was fully occupied in March of 1999. For the first time, Mastercut Tool Corp. had plenty of room for expansion.
This year, Mastercut Tool Corp. is pleased to announce our 25th anniversary as a quality manufacturer. Over the years, from our humble beginnings to our strong present, our goals and aspirations have stayed true. All products are manufactured in our Florida facility, using state of the art CNC grinding equipment, skilled craftsmanship and high quality control standards. As an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, we take pride in our consistent quality and are proud to offer our customers the largest imperial and metric line of burs available, along with a full line of end mills, routers, dental lab burs, and other cutting tools, both standards and specials. Mastercut Tool Corp. is extremely proud of the systems in place to benefit the environment, such as recycling water and grinding oil in the manufacturing processes, as well as implementing a paperless order entry and invoicing system, and recycling packing materials, aluminum cans and paper.
